IQNA – A three-part documentary titled “Mehr Khooban (love of the good ones)” being produced by the Al-Kawthar Global Network presents a new and research-based narrative of the life and thought of Allameh Tabatabaei (RA).

Allameh Seyyed Mohammad Hussein Tabatabai, (16 March 1903 – 15 November 1981)

Using rarely seen documents, the film is being produced with the presence of a group of experts and television artists.

The documentary has reached the final stages of production. It is a three-part series with a duration of 35 minutes for each episode that deals with the life, scientific and mystical personality, and less-told stories of Allameh Seyed Mohammad Hussein Tabatabaei (RA).

The Arabic version of this work, titled “Manhaj Al-Akhyar”, is also ready to be broadcast and will soon be broadcast on Al-Kawthar.

The network has also prepared a Persian version of this series for broadcast on the domestic networks of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), which will probably be aired simultaneously with the Arabic version.

“Mehr Khooban” is the result of the efforts of an experienced and research-oriented group who, while attending important places in the life of Allameh Tabatabaei and talking to his relatives and students, have tried to present for the first time some of the rarely seen documents and untold stories about this prominent thinker.

Hamid Koohpayee, a veteran documentary filmmaker, is the writer and director of this work, and Amir Hossein Koohpayee is in charge of producing the series.
